Cleaning Methods
Prepare & Protect
Before we start, we protect your property: we pre-wet plants and soil, move garden furniture, and plan safe runoff. We use low-concentration softwash mixes to minimise unwanted staining on nearby materials and protect plants.
Softwashing
We treat the render with a low-pressure softwash solution that breaks down algae, mould and traffic film without abrasion. After a controlled dwell time, we gently rinse to reveal an even finish. This is safe for monocouche (K Rend/Parex/Weber), silicone/acrylic and sand-and-cement render when applied correctly.
Stain Targeting
Stubborn stains such as red algae, bird marks and light rust are spot-treated with tailored chemical solutions and soft agitation as needed - always at low pressure to protect the surface texture.
Aftercare (Biocide Finish)
To delay regrowth and help the render stay cleaner for longer, we apply a biodegradable biocide after cleaning. This keeps organic growth at bay and extends the time between cleans.
Materials We Clean
Monocouche (K Rend/Parex/Weber), Silicone/Acrylic coatings, bare sand and cement, painted sand and cement, lime-based render (different approach), stone sills and lintels. If we identify an unfamiliar material, we’ll test a small patch first and adapt the method accordingly.
What We Don't Do
We never high-pressure wash render. High pressure risks damaging the render. We only use pressure washers for pre-wetting and rinsing render, at low pressure, from a distance, with a wide-angled nozzle.
